I started The Making Books Podcast because I love to chatting to other booky people but it’s hard to make that happen when you’re squirrelling away writing things.

The impetus to start was to celebrate the publication of my tenth book ‘The Girl Who Became a Fish’ … sometimes I thought that making books was this lovely thing I was getting away with doing but couldn’t possibly last but holding the tenth book I’ve published in my hands made me rethink this - I’m really doing it! And so this is a light-hearted podcast talking about and celebrating the creative process of making books for a living.
